All of our courses are studied online and consist of videos, photographs and course related materials. As you read through the course you will have to answer questions about each topic and to prove that you have retained the relevant information. Upon completion of your course you will automatically receive your certificate to download and keep 

What does CPD stand for?

Continued professional development (CPD) is a term used to describe ongoing learning or knowledge of the topic that you are studying. CPD is used in many industries worldwide and is required by employees to show that you are developing your professional ability and learning new methods of information. CPD adds to your credentials, can lead to more work/better employability and improves the industry which you work in

Why is CPD important? 

CPD (relative to the health and fitness industry) gives you a more specific and in-depth knowledge of the topic that you are studying. Some aspects of CPD many have been briefly covered in your initial qualification, however CPD courses will focus on one particular topic and go into further understanding, knowledge and appication methods. In the fitness industry (subject to qualifications and insurance) a CPD certification allows you to teach/demonstrate and instruct people within the relevant field. For example if you study kettlebell training you will be able to use kettlebells with your client and be covered by your insurance (some insurance companies may vary)

Who can take CPD’s 

Anybody can study our CPD programs however you wilt be able to use this information with others unless you are qualified in level 2 gym instructing as a minimum (prerequisite) and have public liability and insurance cover.

How long will it take to complete?

All of our programs take between 8-10 hours to study. However you can start and stop your learning whenever you like.

We also advise that although you may have read the materials and answered the tests correctly, you will still need to practice the techniques and skills on a regular basis. We recommend that you spend at least 20 hours practicing the techniques before you begin using this information with clients/customers. You will need to further practice regularly and ongoing to ensure that you are improving.

Will I be able to teach others after studying this course? 

You will be able to prove that you have studied an accredited educational course after completion. You can then send these details to your insurance company who can advise you on your policy and level of cover.
